and images which are introduced by the lecturer and the students and which are critically discussed during the seminars and/or within the framework
of individual tasks. Subjects which are taken into consideration: social compartmentalization, dealing with the past (including the literary or cultural '
canon'), attitudes with regard to language ( standard language, dialects, related anfd foreign languages) openness and delineation etc.

Prérequis

a. EHSAL's general admission requirements are described in the education and examination regulations.
In order for the students to start their courses in the best possible way, they are expected to have the preliminary knowledge, competences, and attitudes
they acquired in the courses or modules listed below. Students should be able to apply them.
Apart from a tolerable mastery of the Dutch language and a critical eye on the present and the past, no specific competences are required. A large
diversity within the group of students (e.g. concerning mother tongue, nationality, training etc.) is welcomed, because this may contribute largely to the
objective of this course part.
